Smithview Farm is a farm in Pittsboro, North Carolina specializing in Grass Fed and Grass Finished Beef. But that’s not all Jim Smith is doing, Jim has spent the last ten years studying and implementing cover crop rotation with a No Till seeding method to enhance soil quality and help annual legumes flourish for nutrient rich cattle feed. The result is Prime Beef with plenty of marbling and no grains!

Sankofa Farms not only provides a source of fresh local produce to communities that need it, but Kamal Bell, the CEO of Sankofa Farms, has embraced a STEM education program to help educated the youth on Agriculture.
Kamal Bell’s passion is Bee Keeping and he is an excellent Beekeeper. Sankofa Farms offers a virtual and onsite hive rental program as well as beekeeping “AirBnB Experiences.”
New Earth Farm STL
New Earth Farm is a new farm in Old North St. Louis. They are currently working on building a vegetable and fruit garden on an empty lot in Old North while also running a Composting Service www.CompostSTL.com. As a composting service, New Earth Farm collects compost materials from their customers and turns it into compost, returning to their customers rich soil for planting and gardening.
New Earth Farm will be apart of the special feature “City Grown STL” which is part of the Meet My Neighbor Productions 2021 Farm Series.
Hart Beet Farm Eolia, MO.
Meet My Neighbor Productions is currently working on a “City Grown STL” Episode. Our goal is to feature city farms each year. Because these farms are smaller several farms will be hosted in each video. For 2021 we chose the Gateway City, Saint Louis.
Hart Beet Farm will not only appear in our City Grown STL Episode but will also be featured in a full episode as a larger farm. The ladies at Hart Beet are amazing woman with a passion for nature. We love the meaning of their name:
Hart- A mature male deer, whose presence indicates herd health
Beet- A delicious root vegetable of which both the root and the greens may be eaten
Hart|Beet- A symbol of balance between nature and agriculture, forest and field, animal and vegetable, conservation and cultivation

Tyrean Lewis has has overcome many obstacles to build his dream Heru Urban Farm. An amazing farmer with a great personality and love for providing fresh food. As a bonus, we were able to briefly interview Leah with Growing Food Growing People, a Nonprofit Farm sharing some resources with Heru Urban Farm. Both are very passionate farmers with a great respect for what they do.
Bee Simple City Farm Saint Louis
